Why 5 mm Glass Standard

We default to 5 mm glass on everything above 80 cm because 4 mm at this size doesn't survive ocean freight reliably — the flex tolerance is too narrow for container vibration over a 20–30 day voyage. The weight difference is real (roughly 20% heavier than 4 mm), but the trade-off is straightforward: heavier glass means fewer damage claims, and fewer damage claims means your margin stays intact.

Why French Cleat Above 120 cm

French cleat hardware on units above 120 cm isn't decorative preference — it's load distribution. A 15 kg mirror on two D-rings concentrates the load on two wall points.
